My Mission Statement

My mission is to provide a successful and positive first grade learning experience for all of my students and to facilitate their academic, social, and personal growth.  I will accomodate all of the unique learning styles within my classroom by using a variety of resources and teaching materials.  I want to promote success for each individual student and have them reach their own "personal best" that they can be proud of. 

Our Learning Goals

The students are doing a great job this second marking period.  In language arts we are in Theme 6 Animal Adventures.  Visit the language arts page to see what strategies we are practicing.  In social studies we are learning about customs and cultures in other countries. In science we are exploring solids and liquids. In math we have started Unit 5 in Houghton Mifflin.  We will be exploring pennies and dime combinations, story problems, and exploring the hundred grid.
I am so proud of all my first grade students and the effort they put forth every day! It has been a terrific second marking period.Thank you to all the families for your continued support in your child's education!
