My Mission Statement

My mission is to provide a successful and positive first grade learning experience for all of my students and to facilitate their academic, social, and personal growth.  I will accomodate all of the unique learning styles within my classroom by using a variety of resources and teaching materials.  I want to promote success for each individual student and have them reach their own "personal best" that they can be proud of. 

Our Learning Goals

We are off to a great start in first grade.  In language arts we are in the first theme All Together Now.  Visit the language arts page to see what strategies we are practicing.  In social studies we are learning about how rules and laws keep us safe.  In science we are investigating rocks.  We have become terrific geologists!  In math we have started our first unit in Houghton Mifflin.  We will be exploring patterns, number partners and we are fantastic number detectives.
I am so proud of all my first grade students and the effort they put forth every day! I know we will have a fantastic school year. Thank you to all the families for your continued support in your child's education!
